1. The Old Rep Theatre

Great historical old theatre where many acting greats like Olivier and Jacobi performed in 20th century, now home to the enterprising Birmingham Stage Company who are known especially for their great family shows at Christmas. See Treasure Island there this year from mid November to end January 2008. Before that back by popular demand for a few performances 11 - 15 Sept is Roald Dahl's 'Danny the Champion of the World'. Then BSC open their new production of Shakespeare's Othello there 18 Sept - 13 Oct starring award winning actor Cyril Nri from The Bill in the title role.
