You easily will find Elroy's in its huge downtown corner location, flanked with green awnings. Large booths are scattered throughout, surrounding a circular bar with stools. The pub serves a quick and tasty lunch to a packed house most days, featuring pork tenderloin, grilled pork chop, omelets, pizza and other choices.   (© 10Best)

I was there during one of the playoff weekends for the NFL and I found the service was very slow and not that friendly. They were busy, but not that busy. Though I do contract work in Bloomington now, I probably won't be back.

I lived in Bloomington, Illinois during the 1999-2000 school year. In August of 2000 I moved to Saint Louis and began to bartend at a well known bar in West Port Plaza. Honestly out of the 15 bars in the plaza maybe 1 compared to Elroy's. I am originally from Lincoln Illinois and every time that I do come home I make sure and spend one day or night at Elroy's. Elroy's is by far the best bar in all of Bloomington or Normal Illinois. Keep it up and see you soon.
