NORMAL. Boasting the largest steaks in town, Alexander's offers a variety of cuts such as filet, rib eye, t-bone and top sirloin. Other choices offered are chicken, pork and seafood, such as the succulent lobster tails that are featured at market price. For beef with a twist, try a steak kabob or teriyaki and for those that are finicky about their steaks, you can be the chef if you choose to be. Cook your own steak on the large pits right inside the restaurant. A decadent dessert, such as the skillet chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream, hot fudge, whip cream and toasted almonds, could be a great finishing touch!

BLOOMINGTON. Huge crystal chandeliers light the way in this large, clubby restaurant. Diners are separated in rooms on different levels, each featuring a working fireplace and oil paintings. Start off with a generous salad topped with homemade blue cheese dressing, and work your way to a great slab of steak, grilled to perfection. Entrees come with salad, baked potato or rice, and hot bread and butter. Great selection of seafood and chicken specialties. Live pianist performs Tue-Sat evenings.

An elegant fine dining restaurant, Lancaster's corners the upscale market in Bloomington. The high ceilings, candelabra and heavy draperies lend the ambience of a grand ballroom. Sample oysters Rockefeller or tuna cakes with salsa cruda as an appetizer. Choose veal piccata or salmon fillet stuffed with Gorgonzola and topped with caramelized onions.
