30. Max's Grille

BOCA RATON.   A perennial favorite, Max's has honed its cuisine, service, and ambience to a fare-thee-well. Regulars rave over inventive entrees; even so, the tried-and-true meatloaf maintains a special place in diners' hearts. Pastas studded with pungent cheeses and fresh vegetables are also great, as are lobster, garlic chicken, fresh fish, crisp salads, and practically anything you order. One of the area's best wine lists ensures an appropriate vintage for any dish, and the outdoor terrace lets you survey the scene in style.
