7. City Oyster

DELRAY BEACH.   This upscale venue follows the established rules of hip dining: great ambience, stylish surroundings and a terrific menu. It's all a success, and patrons frequent the place regularly for scene and cuisine. Infused with Mediterranean and Asian accents, the menu features ocean-fresh seafood in many incarnations. Crab ravioli, lobster risotto, sesame-ginger salmon, yellowtail snapper, Thai seafood bowl and osso bucco crafted of monkfish are representative of the offerings. Cold shellfish platters, oysters on the half shell and caviar are also available, along with steak, chicken and pork. Everything was horrible. Our food came out extremely late. They got every order wrong- from the salad having dressing on it when ordered without it, tuna being overcooked then reordered. The leftovers got thrown out instead of wrapped up. They offered us free dessert to make up for it and then charged us for it 'by accident' They threw out half of the tuna, about a $25 entree and only offered $5 off of our bill. The entire experience was awful and I will not go back nor will friends and family.
