BOCA RATON. Frequented by an attractive crowd who come for the scene as much as the food, the Tavern is known for its social appeal and spirited ambience. Food, inspired by many cultures, includes pad thai, beef tenderloin, roast chicken, rare tuna salad, grilled pork chops, and scrambled eggs with brioche and caviar. Desserts include crème brûlée, cheesecake, and a decadent raspberry tart. Draft and bottled beer, both domestic and imported, effectively satiate your thirst, and wines by the glass are perfect for sipping while you scope out the host of attractive patrons. At lunch, sandwiches and salads take priority, along with burgers, pastas, and such temptations as jerk chicken, crabcakes, and shrimp enchiladas.

BOCA RATON. This fashionable bistro has established itself as one of Boca's favorite dining and nighttime spots, thanks to a lovely ambience, fantastic cuisine, and an ideal location at Mizner Park. In the spacious dining room, with its golden-hued woodwork, patrons sample such dandies as snapper with Thai chili garlic sauce, chimichurri skirt steak and Moroccan spiced rack of lamb. The oyster bar proffers the best in raw and steamed shellfish, and the excellent wine cellar is stocked with domestic and European vintages. Live musicians perform several nights each week, and a great bar delivers gregarious patrons, wonderful scotches, and GiGi's own microbrewed ale. Perfect for an evening meal and more.

Every night, a local band plays, and Monday's reggae parties have become legendary, in part because of their limbo contests and Jamaican rappers. Rock, beach music, and island tunes cater to a variety of tastes, and drink specials and well-attended happy hours are additional attractions. Sports events, especially those featuring Beantown's home teams, attract hordes of attendees too, who come to root for Boston's finest and consume vast quantities of beer.

From decor to cuisine and service, everything is impeccable, and you'll find folks enjoying a variety of steaks, chops, and seafood. A nice wine list and live entertainment provide reason to stay and enjoy the night long after dinner's over. Vocalists and bands play both in the gorgeous courtyard and inside the restaurant. You'll find everything from jazz and blues to classic tunes from rock-n-roll's early days. Full bar.

DELRAY BEACH. A gleaming dark wood bar, rich velvet curtains and the glow of candlelight give this dining room a romantic, luxurious atmosphere. From a raw bar to wood oven flatbread to premium steak and fish, the kitchen presents all the goods expected at a fine steakhouse, plus some. Global influences are evident in the menu, which offers several Italian-inspired veal dishes, as well as the Asian tuna mignon with vegetable stir fry, Wasabi onion rings and soy mustard butter. As the night wears on, the scene loosens up a bit, and it's not uncommon for the DJs to coax a few patrons onto the dancefloor.

BOCA RATON. Bringing a touch of the South Pacific to Boca, this tropical lounge specializes in a drink called kava, a nonalcoholic elixir that's known to leave drinkers relaxed and euphoric. The scene, which comes complete with tropical greenery, tribal art and plenty of tiki elements, is always relaxed, and this is a great place to chill out at the close of the day. Some nights even feature live music – Thursday night's open mic is a particularly good time.
