This restaurant was the first irish restaurant opened in Bordeaux (1990) well before the celtic mania that overflowed France in the late 90's. Despite the increase of competitors, Joe Rowland has remained just himself insisting in keeping his corner of Ireland as genuine as possible. It looks like a country pub/restaurant - It's nothing like an americanized style of irish pub designed to attract tourist or locals that do not know anything of Ireland. Everything here is genuine, the staff, the food, the home made bread and of course the music (regular sessions on Fridays, but other days as well !(check by phone)). actually It's the customers themselves that keep with the irish traditions and have pleasure to sing or play live music. It's a place worth visiting if you have nostalgia of Ireland or wish to taste a sample of it before planning a trip there. So don't hesitate to come and visit this address.
