BEACON HILL.   Founded in 1809, this church was inspired by the work of British architect Christopher Wren. The church's historical importance dates to 1829, when William Lloyd Garrison presented a speech against slavery. Further fame was provided in 1831, when the song "America" by Samuel Smith was first sung in public.   (© 10Best)
