The Buzz -- This bazaar is not just a shopping event but a cultural education too, with fairly-traded, handcrafted art and jewelry from all over the world, including Africa, Asia, and the Americas. It wouldn't be a true cultural experience without ethnic food and world music to raise awareness of indigenous communities, and you'll find both of them as well. In fact, the bazaar is such an immersive experience that at the end of the day, you may find it hard to believe that you're still in Boston. |

Cultural Survival Bazaar (Shopping, Free Entertainment and Social Change) "The Bazaars started just over 30 years ago as an annual Cambridge Event. The event is a fundraiser for Cultural Survival a very high-rated non-profit by guidestar. Cultural Survival is a global leader in the fight to protect Indigenous lands, languages, and cultures around the world. In partnership with Indigenous Peoples, Cultural Survival advocate for native communities whose rights, cultures, and dignity are under threat. The bazaars give attendees the chance to meet many of the artisans visiting from Africa, Asia, and the Americas, as well as many Fair Trade Companies that work with Indigenous Cooperatives. You can buy art, decor, jewelry, tribal rugs, carvings, clothing, crafts, and much more. There is also free entertainment like Native American Storytelling, Live world music, craft-making demonstrations and much more. Bring the family and spend the day. This is truely a worthy cause and an organization worthy of your support." |
