The Buzz -- Breaking from the typical Broadway production, the award-winning score of In the Heights combines hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul music, bringing a whole new flavor to the stage. Nominated for thirteen Tony Awards in 2008 (and taking home four, including Best Musical), In the Heights explores the dreams and realities of the residents of Washington Heights, a Dominican-American community in New York City. The musical comes to Boston for its first tour since opening on Broadway in 2008. |
