R U kiddin' me? Kitty O'Shea's is the #1 nightlife spot in Boston? Did I accidentally stumble upon the Trotters, ND page? Nothing against Kitty O'Shea's--it's a decent enough bar. Kind of pretty and comfortable. Staff really varies from visit to visit, from exceptionally nice to disinterested (they've never been downright rude to me there). The food is solid pub food. But, really, this is just another bar.

How did this spot get rated #1...The staff is its best asset - cheap big screen hanging in the middle of the room - food is average...Vibe is awful !

I hosted an event here and rented out the second floor. Although the decor is nice (lots of seating, 2 bars, + DJ booth), beyond the aesthetics, IT WAS HORRIBLE. The staff was RUDE, UNCOOPERATIVE, DISRESPECTFUL, and CONDESCENDING in the way they talked down to all of the guests. They (bartenders, wait staff, and bouncers) made us feel unwelcome at the establishment, despite the fact that we had prepaid for a very high bar tab and signed a very generous contract. Moreover, at the end of the night, the manager tried dishonestly to milk me for even more money by attempting to MANIPULATE me into paying a room rental fee that we had already negotiated. I was extremely UNIMPRESSED by the level of professionalism and courtesy, and I do not plan to be a customer of this establishment EVER, EVER again. I have been to a lot of bars and clubs, and this was by far THE WORST EXPERIENCE of all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!

My wife and I visited this Bar on 13/09/07..We are from Scotand and visted Boston as we are 30years married and both of us are 53 years of age..We ate in Quincy Market and then decided to wash all the food down with a Coors lager in Kitty Osheas...On ordering our lagers the young waitress asked for " ID "..Life hasnt been easy for my wife and I,and life has taken its toll..I know the USA has its alcohol laws, but when your 53yrs, and you have two daughters older than the person asking for " ID "....The waitress refused to serve us but seemed to revell in the power and joke with her collegues..This was our final day in Boston and my wife cried all the way back to North Station............Campbell Cross
