9. Newbury Guest House

BACK BAY.   Located in the heart of one of Boston's trendiest shopping districts, this hotel was originally built as a private home in 1882 and did not open as a bed and breakfast until more than a century later. Today, the interior features reproduction Victorian furnishings and artwork from the Museum of Fine Arts.
