6. New Shanghai

A great restaurant in Chinatown
Two weeks ago (Oct 2009), we found the menu outside and it was so enticing we went in. We found the food and service excellent, enjoying both Sichuanese and other regional cuisine. Crunchy duck, twice-cooked pork, shredded potatoes w/ green pepper, even a non-spicy vegetable dish, among other seafood dishes were well-prepared and presented. I might have preferred slightly hotter, but I am a glutton for punishment. We went back last night and walked out smiling after another wonderful meal.

don't even bother
The food is really bad. not only overly greasy, but olso spicy beyond recognition. the service is non exsistant to say the least. would not recommend it to an enemy, let alone a friend.
