NORTH END. Based on appearances alone, it'd be oh, too easy to pass right by this tiny, red brick Italian eatery and never think twice. Needless to say, doing so would be "tu culpa" ... And your palate would pay the ultimate price. Known for its regional small plates, Carmen's kitchen creates quite a frenzy. Indeed, dishes like spice-crusted seared tuna and crespelle Bolognese soundly see to that. And if the food sounds too good to be true, wait 'til you get a load of the wine list. (© 10Best)

We booked this restaurant as a special meal in Boston, after reading reviews and seeing the awards in the windows. Our table was booked for 9.30 but we weren't able to be seated until gone ten. After being seated late, we were presented with average starters and main courses. When requesting desert or coffee, we we�re told that they did not sell either. As a result of this we asked for more wine, to be told that they only have a licensed to serve alcohol until 11pm. The most efficient part of the evening was the speed in which we received the cheque. We would NOT recommend this for any occasion and the restaurant does not represent value for money.
