Reviews from different sites chariot this spot as 'best west of Tokyo' and 'best outside San Francisco'. Pathetic sake selection with only 3 types. No pairing. Rolls big and juicy for the eye, but too big to eat in one bite. Sashimi - again big cuts, but not particularly fresh. Hamachi Tata(app.) was very good - nice light flavor that stands out. Everything afterward fell flat. Service from the waitstaff was friendly but not thoroughly knowledgable - she didn't know what gobo is. Atmosphere - nada. Small cramped, uninviting, it felt tense... maybe it was a bad for them. If bigger is better and you want to pay through the nose, then I highly recommend this place. If you want more, keep looking.
