7. The New Foundry Bar & Club

The Foundry employs punks and thugs!!
I am a 39 year old teacher who has served Colorado communities over the last 13 years. I do not go looking for trouble. However, in October of 2009, I was subjected to incredibly abusive treatment by drunk employees of the Foundry, both on and off duty! I was utterly ignored for over 20 minutes while trying to pay my bill, while the only other people in the place were some off duty employees. When I had the nerve to complain to the bartender, I was verbally abused with tons of profanity, such as "little bitch" and "pussy" and many more delightful epithets. I was threatened. Both of the drunken goons were obvious meat-head MMA wannabees who were employees of the Foundry. I could go on, but all you need to know is STAY AWAY FROM THE PUNK THUGS AT THE FOUNDRY!!

Try it, you'll like it
What's not to like? Just remodeled, great food with cold beer, full bar and very healthy ladies to take your order. Only been there for lunch and until about 9pm, but the fresh TexMex is cheap and good, and the service stellar. Understand it becomes a meat market/ dance hall later, but outside of that the crank with the posting who didn't like the music must have been dissed by a looker and took it out on the bar. Giant TVs for the sports crowd, live bands on a big stage for music lovers, and great views from the rooftop make this a real Boulder experience; if you want Applebees this is definitely not your place, but if good food and fun is more your style, try it and decide for yourself.

Avoid.
This bar is the least friendly bar on the mall. The crowd consists of at least 75% Frat guys that walk around trying to fight some guy, or Ruffie some girl. I know 5 people that have been date raped at this bar. The staff at the bar is not friendly. You would be better off going across the street to the Walrus. If you are looking to play Billiards, The Sun Downer has equally nice Pool Tables with a lot better crowd and staff. The Attic has some alright pool tables that are FREE!
