A traveling troupe takes the words of Shakespeare on the road. Their season lasts 12 weeks and covers more than 50 cities in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. The group performs almost every weekend at MSU's Grove Park area. Call ahead for times.

The area is a growing field for the wild sweet pea, and this annual festival (held in early August) was named in its honor. The Sweet Pea Festival dates back to 1900, but it faltered for a time. It was restarted more than 20 years ago and today plays hosts to live music, parades, arts, crafts, and tons of food.

This week long festival held in late January kicks off the start of winter. The Montana Winter Fair has been in operation for 50 years and features a variety of carnival-like events. Highlights include the horse-pulling contests.
