9. The Shack Cafe

DOWNTOWN.   The Shack Cafe doesn't stand on pretense as waitresses hurry around taking orders and cooks holler at one another across the kitchen. They know that it's not the ambiance the guests come for – but rather the tasty food. The Shack's been in business for as long as most regulars can remember, and it's sure to be for quite some time. The menu consists of traditional favorites like meat loaf, burgers, and fried chicken as well as lighter fare like sandwiches and salads. The Shack is your typical diner. I remember it as a child. My aunt insisted we eat there and I loved it. Fried Chicken plate was great. I try to eat there whenever I am down visiting.
