Stretching across the majestic Avon Gorge, this famous bridge has been synonymous with Bristol for more than 100 years. Opened in 1864, the bridge was originally designed for horse-drawn travel, yet it successfully sustains four million cars annually. The Bridge is maintained by a Parliament Trust established in 1952, and thanks to ongoing precision care, this public icon has never closed. Guided tours for schools and groups welcome by appointment. (© 10Best) More Details for Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitors CentreHours: Daily 10am-5pm Admission: Visitor centre free.
