This well-preserved, late 18th century merchant's townhouse once belonged to a sugar merchant, and its period furniture and decor provide an insightful glimpse into a bygone era. There are four floors, including the kitchen, housekeeper's room, two dining rooms, a library, two drawing rooms and a small exhibition on the Pinney's involvement in the sugar trade. A recent program, Abolition 200, commemorates the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade in the British Empire with the Georgian House Sugar Trail.
