   EDITOR REVIEW:

To truly appreciate the natural beauty and historic impact of the town of Woodbury, visit this charmingly simple 18th-century farmhouse and the exquisite gardens that were added during the 1960s. The house is filled with period furniture and happens to be the birthplace of the Episcopal Church in the United States. The name of the house represents the farm land that rural clergymen received as part of their compensation for ministering to parishioners. In 1771, the first Episcopal priest in the US, Reverend John Marshall, lived in the "glebe" house with his wife Sarah and nine children.
