5. Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum

Among the country's seven Karpeles museums, the Buffalo branch boasts an extensive collection of manuscripts that remains unrivaled anywhere. The national archives contain more than a million items, including Einstein's "Theory of Relativity," the "Emancipation Proclamation," and the original draft of the "Bill of Rights." Each Karpeles museum offers fascinating changing themed exhibits, which include several manuscripts that may be of particular political, musical, scientific, or literary value.   (© 10Best)
