About Buffalo Events
Although there are many obvious considerations to make when scheduling a trip (i.e., weather, rates, availability), it's also important to schedule events for your destination. Just as Buffalo's landscape changes with each season, so to does the annual rotation of festivals, competitions and community events that color the city's atmosphere. Since Buffalo's a melting pot of different cultures, many events celebrate the city's cultural roots. On Saint Patrick's Day, crowds gather to paint the town green, while the Juneteenth Festival celebrates the contributions of the African American community. Other opportunities, such as the Thursday at the Square summer concert series, Shakespeare in Delaware Park performances and Allentown Art Festival reflect Buffalo's commitment to the arts. Buffalo's welcoming downtown, lined with pedestrian-friendly streets, parks and public spaces, provides a setting conducive to community gatherings.
