DOWNTOWN.   This is the original home of Buffalo wings, which were first concocted in 1964 by the bar's original proprietor as a snack for late night patrons. Still available, the wings are smothered with spicy Buffalo sauce and served with celery and bleu cheese dressing. The Anchor Bar is still a local favorite, and the menu features Italian-American entrees and classics like chicken cacciatore. On weekends traveling jazz bands entertain diners.   (© 10Best)
