ESSEX.   Owned and operated by the New England Culinary Institue, Butler's offers elegant environs wherein guests may enjoy first-rate American fare. The dining room boasts a homey, country inn appeal – yellow-hued walls, fresh-cut flowers, well-appointed tables, and cushioned chairs. Sunday brunch might include the likes of whole-wheat apple pancakes with Vermont maple syrup or French-style crêpes stuffed with mascarpone cheese and smoked salmon. Among the tempting dinner options are Duo of Rabbit with sautéed fennel and port reduction, Seared Grouper with lobster dumplings, and ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta. Reservations are strongly suggested. Prix fixe dinner $42-55.   (© 10Best)

I've experienced quite a bit of fine dining before but being served some mussels with one being rotten is something you would never want to experience again. Then on top of that the plate is hot but the content is not even warm. To had to that I had the mahi mahi which for being fried tasted poached and without any spice or salt and the veggies were over salted. To add to that my girlfriend had an order of veal scaloppini which tasted stale and we had to serve ourself our own wine after the first serving . Not impressed at all and nowhere close to going back.
