Recognized by both the local press and "Wine Spectator" for its fabulous Italian fare and impressive wine list, this classy trattoria in the old Vermont Hotel building has justly earned its fine reputation. Rustic wood beams support the ceiling while weathered stone walls, a cozy fireplace, and hand-laid Italian tiles give the place an elegant Old Country feel, making it a favorite with local romantics. Featured entrees include Ossobuco alla Milanese with saffron risotto, Pesce alla Griglia del Giorno with an olive-and-garlic-lemon-parsley marinade, and Cinghiale Brasato (wild boar) served over soft polenta.
