DOWNTOWN.   Hale and hearty Mediterranean fare has earned this downtown bistro a special place in the hearts of savvy locals, who also give Leunig's high marks for charming decor, an attractive marble bar, and a primo location (on the corner of Church and College). The menu features a wide range of fare, from Tuscan-inspired flatbread pizza and pasta dishes to seasonal specialties like Vermont-raised pork and lamb. Sidewalk dining is available for those who want to make sure they're part of the scene.   (© 10Best)

I had a completely different experience than the above review I just read! I happened upon Luenig's in April and sat down immediately and had great service. The food was some of the best I’ve had in Burlington. The tables are tight, but have you ever been to Paris? It's the same atmosphere! Lovely setting and great food!

After hearing from a bad review from a friend (her rack of lamb was cooked medium-well after she had asked for medium-rare, and then that it would take 30 minutes to get her another one), I was hesitant to try Leunig's. However, I had a gift certificate so decided to give it a shot. It is the most pretentious place in the Burlington area that I have ever been to. The host/manager was EXTREMELY rude and the tables are just about on top of each other. If you do go, be sure to make a reservation as we did not and were told it would be 45 minutes. The place is so cramped that we decided to go do some shopping and were back in 40 minutes. We were then told that our table was already given to someone else and that it would be another 45 minutes. My advice is don't waste your money!!…
