3. Cairo Tower

ZAMALEK.   This 187m-high TV tower marks the highest point in the city. Completed in 1961, the history of its original funding excites lurid conspiracy theories compared to which the assassination of JFK is an open-and-shut case (it's likely that the CIA paid for it to keep Nasser sweet).
