5. Cairo Jazz Club

Don't be fooled by the name: the Club has one of Cairo's most varied musical palettes and is mercilessly free of clubland's sometimes fascistic approach to what's acceptable on the dance floor in terms of expressive freeform moves. It's sweaty, it's crowded – you'll have a great time. Giving the impression that you're in a mixed-gender couple will maximise your chances of getting in.   (© 10Best)
