This campus museum features both historical and contemporary works, especially those of the artists of western Canada. Many of the pieces are works on paper, although the museum is broadening its range to include other media as well. One of the Nickle's most important features is its coin collection. Encompassing more than 16,000 objects, the collection's bulk is in coins of the ancient world, although there are select pieces from Europe and Canada as well. Along with these permanent collections, temporary exhibitions change throughout the year. The gift shop is a good resource for art-related goods.
