9. Olives

I took a client to the Flames Game last week and booked a pre-game dinner at Olives. Room was packed with a lively crowd (seems like they're busy whenever there's an event at the Saddledome). We sat at the Food Bar overlooking the kitchen and watched the chefs prepare our meals. Concept is Innovative Italian Cuisine and it's no surprise that their chef does a fresh take on all sorts of dishes. Very contemporary with nice flavours. I had the Truffle Parsnip Raviolis and my client tried to Veal Parpadelle. We also shared a chorizo flatbread as an appetizer. Food was great. Wines were all Italian and our server made some good recommendations for wines by the glass. After the game, we went back and had a beer in the lounge. Really nice setting. Will definitely go back.
