2. Eau Claire Market

This brightly-colored, industrial-looking complex is a favorite of Calgarians, especially since it's located so close to downtown and Prince's Island Park. The two-level shopping center is open and bright and features specialty shops, a food court, movie theaters, and a number of restaurants (more are located around it). You can also buy wines, fresh produce and gourmet foods from vendors in the center. At any given time, entertainers perform for the crowds, adding a fun ambience to the place.
