This independent cinema offers a whole host of arthouse films, from modern productions to black-and-white classics. Staff are extremely friendly and there is a lovely cafe-bar upstairs selling fairtrade drinks and moreish pancakes and other snacks. One of the few remaining arthouse cinemas around, and definitely worth a visit.

Cambridge's old Corn Exchange building is now the scene of wild concerts and spectacular shows, as one of the largest city centre venues. Big-name artists and performers come here, including the Moscow Ballet and the Chinese State Circus. You can buy tickets from the office just opposite the Corn Exchange, next to the tourist office.
