This church was built in the early 14th century in dedication to a Benedictine abbot from the seventh century named St. Botolph. He became known as the saint for travelers. Churches dedicated to St. Botolph were built on the outskirts of towns so that travelers could stop and pray safe travels or give thanks for safe arrivals. The church is now a popular Anglican church and welcomes visitors as well as local worshippers.   (© 10Best)
