5. Punt Tours on the River Cam

Yesterday I used Cambridge Punting tours to experience Cambridge from the River Cam. Having done many walking tours in Europe I am afraid to say that this was the worst I have been on. The guide seemed more interested in chatting up a group of girls on the punt and his knowledge of the colleges and Cambridge was very poor. This was also the most expensive tour I have been on. Finding a balance of being informative with interesting anecdotes should not be too difficult for a 45 minute tour. If you go punting, check out the guide first and I suggest using the Tourist Office for further suggestions.
