This establishment enjoys a lovely location next to the oldest bridge in Cambridge and along the peaceful River Cam. The pleasant ambience is created by the good service, soft background music, and candlelit tables. Outdoor dining is available, weather permitting. Menu items include a variety of selections such as Thai salmon fishcakes and duckling set in a dark cherry sauce and served with fresh vegetables. It's fairly pricey – but that's what you have to pay for the location.

An old favorite of mine, the Galleria is consistently excellent; dishes are just complex enough to add depth and interest but remain accessible and delicious. The evening atmosphere is warm and elegantly relaxed, or sit out on the balcony overlooking the river for a summer lunch and enjoy the tourists' amusing attempts to punt.

Having read a review of Galleria Restaurant on your site. We decided to go to the restaurant while on visit to Cambridge, England. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table, we asked to be seated by the window and were obliged promptly…which was rather nice. For starters we chose Thai salmon fishcakes and Pate they arrived 10 minutes later and for the main courses we had chicken, crispy duck and monkfish all smothered in rich sauces and served with a generous side plate of fresh vegetables and Mustard mash which was a nice change from the norm. We finished with chocolate moose, brandy snaps and 2 cappuccinos. All in all it was a very nice beginning to our evening.
