ÎLES DE LÉRINS. This fortress, located on the island where Alexander Dumas's "Man in the Iron Mask" was jailed, is where some of the area's salvage dive artifacts are displayed. The Musée de la Mer, which means the "museum of the sea," houses seafaring cargo lost in shipwrecks near the island. Artifacts date from the Roman era to modern day. The fortress is also worth the visit.
