This intriguing little island is named for the monk, Honoratus, who founded a monastery on the land in 410 AD. The historic abbey known as Notre Dame de Lerins is the most popular attraction, with its austere architecture and a shop selling items made by the 28 monks who live there. Several other chapels and churches dot the landscape, which is full of peaceful pines and a dramatic coast. (© 10Best) More Details for Île Saint-Honorat
