This intriguing museum, formerly the Canterbury Heritage Museum, houses a wealth of entertaining information covering 2000 years of Canterbury's history. Various exhibits include some of the city's valued items such as the Canterbury Pendant and the Canterbury Cross. Holograms, computer programs, and videos set visitors in the midst of such historical events as the murder of Thomas Becket or the terrifying Viking raids. Also available especially for young visitors is the Rupert Bear Gallery.   (© 10Best)
