This splendid cathedral is located in the heart of Kent's historic district. The building is noted for being home to the first archbishop of the English in 602; the scene of the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in 1170; and a place of pilgrimage for numerous Europeans. The cathedral extends a warm welcome to all who visit by providing guided tours and services for special groups such as pilgrims and students.   (© 10Best)
