3. Greater Canton Amateur Sports Hall of Fame

Housed in the Renkert-Belden home, a structure that is included on the National Register of Historic Places, this museum honors the great talents of local amateur athletes – many of whom went on to establish national and international recognition. There are thirteen different sports groups featured here, including baseball, bowling, wrestling and swimming. This museum provides fascinating insight into the history of sports, and it offers many interesting stories about famous athletes before they reached their acclaimed status.
