1. Angel Falls

Due to the relative proximity to Caracas and its breathtaking beauty, you should consider making a trek to Venezuela's Parque Nacional Canaima. It's an enormous national park that's full of natural beauty, but nothing else in the park compares to the stunning sight of the 2648 ft Angel Falls (15 times higher than Canada's Niagara Falls), named after bush pilot Jimmy Angel, an American who crash landed near the falls in 1937 and made his discovery known to the world. The falls can be toured via helicopter, boat or on foot (though it is quite a hike).   (© 10Best)
