4. Cerro El Ávila

Along the northern side of Caracas, this beautiful mountain dominates the landscape of the city. It is approximately 3000 feet high. The lovely landscape is easily accessible from the Altamira neighborhood, in the eastern area of the city. You can choose to hike the mountain or be transported via cable car. The area became a national park in 1958, providing for its preservation.   (© 10Best)
