Approximately two miles west of Cardiff City Centre is the tranquil village of Llandaff. Here you'll find historic Llandaff Cathedral, believed to date back as far as the sixth century. The church contains elements of Norman and Tudor styles and underwent a massive renovation in the mid-19th century. A German landmine destroyed much of the cathedral in 1941, but it has since been rebuilt. Now, the Llandaff is home to Sir Jacob Epstein's famous 'Christ in Majesty', which can be found hanging high in the nave, as well as a Celtic cross dating from the 10th century. There is a small shop open 10am-4pm Mon-Sat.
