Caerphilly Castle is the dominant feature in this suburb, located less than 10 miles north of Cardiff City Centre. This impressive fortress, whose 30 acres is surrounded by a moat, dates from the 13th century. Aside from Caerphilly's enormity, the castle's most noticeable feature is its leaning tower, which allegedly rests at an even steeper angle than the famous one in Pisa. Tours are available daily.
