EDITOR REVIEW: Both figuratively and literally, Cardiff Castle has always been at the heart of Cardiff's rich sense of history and tradition. Started by the Romans and later "renovated" by Cardiff's 11th and 12th century Norman invaders, the castle is the source of inspiration for many Cardiff legends. The third Marquess of Bute transformed the castle into its current state of splendor during the 19th century. The castle offers two tours, the more expensive of which allows visitors to explore the upper levels. |
