The National Museum Cardiff is one of the city's true gems. Visitors can enjoy exhibits ranging from art and archeology to the earth sciences. The art collection features an admirable collection of Impressionist work, including 'La Parisienne' by Renoir, as well as paintings by traditional Welsh favorites such as Augustus and Gwen John. Four modern themed galleries focus on Welsh artists of the 18th century, Welsh landscape, Nature, and Art in Britain in the 18th century. The archeology exhibits cover everything from dinosaur remains to artifacts left by Roman and Nordic conquerors, and the section on 'Man and the Environment' boasts the world's largest leatherback turtle. A shop and restaurant are on-site.   (© 10Best)
