4. Roath Park

Only a 20-minute walk from Cardiff city centre, this 130-acre, 2-mile long park boasts a 30-acre recreational lake for fishing and rowing, pleasure garden, and conservatory. Roath Lake is an ideal spot for bird watching and is the location for a memorial lighthouse dedicated to Captain Scott, the famous South Pole explorer.
