These sweet yellow boats are a fun way of seeing Cardiff from a different perspective – a watery one. Hop on to sail between Cardiff Waterfront (off Mermaid Quay) and the Penarth end of the huge Cardiff Bay barrage. Some trips are designed specially for sightseeing. Constructed in 1884, the Coal Exchange's Great Hall is now the site of many of Cardiff's most important cultural events. The Coal, located in the center of Mount Stuart Square, is the former financial heart of Cardiff and contains many of the city's listed buildings.
