2. Mark's and Spencer

This huge store takes up several blocks in the center of town and is the department store everyone goes to for any necessity, from food to appliances to clothes. This particular store was once the headquarters of Bonnie Prince Charlie's troops during the wars with England when Carlisle was a part of Scotland.   (© 10Best)
